Q: Where is the Campus Store located?

A:  We are located at the Cumberland Campus next to the College Center and Learning Commons. Our store has a bright blue and green "Campus Store" awning that makes it very visable. We suggest parking in the upper parking lots or lower lot by the gym.

Q: When will my order be ready?

A:  You will receive an email when your order is complete.  We ask for a minimum 24 hours to fill orders. Orders placed on weekends/holidays are processed when the college reopens.

Bedford Campus Orders are delivered by courier on Monday/Wednesday/Friday and available for pick-up after 11am. Please call 814-652-9528 before traveling to the Bedford Campus. 


Q: What do I need to Pick-Up my Order?

A: You need the Order # and Name on the Order at time of pick-up. 


Q: How do I find the books I need?

A: Use Textbook Lookup to find each course and view your course materials.

Q: How do I make changes or cancel my order?

Q: My course gives me Choices - how do I know which one to pick?

A: You select the choice that you prefer. For example, one choice may be a "Printed Book Bundle" consisting of a physical textbook and access code and another choice may be an "Access Code" or "Ebook". Students decide if they prefer having a printed book to use for reading and assignments or if they prefer an ebook option that they read on an electronic device. 

Q: What is VitalSource and how do I access my materials?

A: The Campus Store teamed up with VitalSource to offer lower prices on access codes and faster access for students. Ebooks/Codes that are sold through VitalSource are identified with the words "VitalSource" at the beginning of the item title. 

When a student orders a VitalSource Code from the Campus Store: 

Q: I cannot log-in the Campus Store webpage - how do I set up my account?

A: You do not need to log-in to view books or shop. The first time you place an order, you will be prompted to create an account. This account will only allow you to view your order history.

Q: How do I order items online?

A: Use Textbook Lookup to find course materials:

  • Add/Update
  • Select shopping cart icon in the upper right side of screen and Checkout.
  • Select Delivery Preference : Pick up in-store (Cumberland or Bedford Campus) or ship by UPS Ground (subject to shipping charges). 
  • Select Payment Method: Credit Card, Gift Card or Student Financial Aid. Enter your 7-digit Student ID Number. If a third party is paying for your order, select Student Financial Aid as payment method, enter your Student ID Number, and add a note in the comments.
  • Add comments (if needed) If a third party is paying for your order, include a note in the comments indicating who is paying for your books. (Example:  VERSO, Veteran, UMPC, Upward Bound, Emergency Book Scholarship etc.) 
  • Review Order
  • Click Submit 
  • You will receive an email when your order is complete. 
  • You will need the ORDER# and NAME on the order at pick-up.

Q: Can I use my Financial Aid to pay for my order?Paying with FA Callout

A: Yes, as long as your Student Financial Aid shows an available balance. 

  • In-store:  Student ID Number and a Photo ID are required. (ACM Student ID/Driver's License)
  • Online: During Check Out- select "Pay with Student Financial Aid" and enter student ID number. 
  • Note: If a third party is paying for your order:  Select Student Financial Aid as your payment method and include a note in the comments inicating who is paying for your order. (Example: VERSO, Veteran, UMPC, Emergency Scholarship) 



Q: If I have a scholarship or another agency is paying for my order, can I still order online?

A:  Yes. Add items to your cart and then follow these directions during checkout:

  • Select your Payment Method: Select Student Financial Aid and enter your Student ID Number.  
  • Add comments: Indicate who is paying for your order. (Example: VERSO, Veteran, UMPC, Emergency Scholarship) 
  • Once the Campus Store verifies your funding is approved, your order will be processed. 
  • Please check your student email account for order updates. 


Q: What is Cengage Unlimited?

A: If your classes require a book from the publisher Cengage - you may save money by purchasing the Cengage Unlimited Access Code. Students only need one code to access all of their Cengage e-books and MindTap materials for the semester. Students who purchase Cengage Unlimited may rent printed copies of books for $9.99 S&H each directly through Cengage. Contact Cengage Learning for more information on Cengage Unlimited and Rentals.

Q: Problems with Access Codes?

A: For problems with an access code, please call the Customer Service number listed on the access code or publisher's website. Free trial codes only last a limited time. Students are required to purchase the full access code for classes. Campus Store Staff are available to help you at 301-784-5348.

Q: How do I make a return?

A: If you are returning items by mail, please ship all returns with a copy of your receipt to:

  • No refunds without original receipt. 
  • Refunds must be issued in the original form of payment. 
  • Shipping and Handling fees are non-refundable.

  • Open shrink-wrapped packages, software, e-books, and access codes may not be returnable and are evaluated individually. 

  • Merchandise must be returned within 5 business days of purchase. 
  • Merchandise must be in new condition, tags attached, in the original, unopened packaging (free of odors or stains). 

  • Defective Electronics NOT covered by a manufacturer warranty must be returned to the Bookstore with all original packaging within 5 business days of purchase.  

  • Items with manufacturer warranties: (Including Laptops/Printers/Jansport Bookbags) The customer must contact the manufacturer directly for guidance on filing a claim.

Q: How do I sell my used books?

A: The Campus Store offers a Virtual Sellback available year-round. The online sellback allows students to obtain a quote for their books and print out a free shipping label. Once the books are received by the NBC warehouse a check is mailed to the student directly from NBC.


Q: I am an ACM Faculty/Staff member, how do Order Faculty Supplies?

A: Please submit the ACM Faculty/Staff Supply Order Form available on the employee portal. We will notify you when your order is ready for pick-up. 


Q: I am an ACM Faculty/Staff member, how do I order Printer Ink?

A: Faculty & Staff Only:  If you have a non-networked printer that does NOT have a DALY sticker, please sumbit the ACM Departmental Ink Order Form available on the Employee Portal. We will notify you when your order is ready for pick-up.
