Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I find the books I need?

A: Use Textbook Lookup to find each course and view the textbook and pricing information. Students find it helpful to refer to their class schedule when using the Textbook Lookup tool.

Select:
Academic Term
Department
Course
Section - Click on the Section/Instructor for your class

Once you select your section, you will see a list of Materials (optional and required textbooks/materials) for the course. If this area is blank, check back later since books only show up after instructors adopt them. You can order your books directly from the textbook lookup by selecting the checkbox next to each book and adding them to your cart. "Checkout" to submit your order.

For questions about course materials, please contact a Bookstore Associate at 301-784-5348 or speak directly to your professor.

Q: My course gives me two Choices - how do I know which one to pick?

A: You must select the choice that you prefer. For example, one choice may be a "Bundle" consisting of a physical textbook and access code and another choice may be for an "Access Code Only". Students would need to decide if they prefer having a printed book to use for reading and assignments or if they prefer a digital option that they read on an electronic device.

CENGAGE UNLIMITED:  If your classes require a book from the publisher Cengage - you may be able to save money by purchasing the Cengage Unlimited Access Code. Cengage Unlimited provides access to electronic versions of textbooks - but only CENGAGE BOOKS - not books from other publishers. Most of your classes will offer the CHOICE of buying the printed book bundle or the Cengage Unlimited.

For questions about course materials, please contact a Bookstore Associate at 301-784-5348 or speak directly to your professor.
